Replacing Zbook 15 Keyboard

I got my refurbished Zbook 15 with a non-backlit keyboard. It is also not well because I need to press hard a few times before some keys are are active. Otherwise they cannot register any key stroke.

I got a replacement backlit keyboard from Aliexpress.

I managed to install the keyboard but after I had destroyed the backlight and  track point button ribbon connector. I should have watched this video carefully.

The service manual does not warn me of the ribbon connector lock and how to detach the keyboard. It only mentioned about using a thin device to pry open the keyboard.

Actually the manual mentions about the need to release the ZIF connector, but when I looked at the small connector, there does not seem to be anywhere to pull the key upward. The video below shows it in a split second so I missed it on the first viewing.

The video shows that you just need you fingers to press harder to dislodge the connector.

Luckily, I was able to just press the ribbon key and fix the ribbon cable to its connector. I was supposed to lift the key first before pulling the ribbon cable.

Unfortunately, the keyboard is UK keyboard. I am used to US keyboard so need to setup windows to the UK labels on the keyboard.

HP keyboard is not as good as Lenovo keyboard but manageable.
