Upgrading Laptops is worthwhile

I had a few laptops that my children used for the college. I nearly wanted to dispose of them a few years ago. Luckily I got the upgrading bug and start researching the costs. The prices of CPUs and RAM has gone down a lot that it is worthwhile to upgrade.

5 years ago, the DDR2 SODIMM RAM was too high. RM200 for 2Gbyte that it was not worth upgrading. Now, its price is RM30(US7) only. CPU prices have dropped a lot also.

I bought my T8300 for US4, in Sep 2017. A few days ago, I bought a T9550 for US7. This C700 is faster than my office's desktop PC with i3 and 8Gbyte but only 3 useable.
